Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard has identified a player who he believes would have been a standout performer in modern football.
The celebrated former midfielder singled out Paul Scholes, who spent many years playing for Manchester United.

Paul Scholes played for Manchester United from 1992 to 2013. During his time with the club, he made over 700 appearances in all competitions. The Manchester United icon also played 66 matches for the England national team.
