The player didn’t hold back.
Chiefs faced their first loss of the season.
Details: In the 6th round of the Betway Premiership, Sekhukhune United secured a 3-1 victory over Kaizer Chiefs.
Veteran striker Bradley Grobler, 37, scored twice and gave an honest and humorous interview after the game:
“Honestly, I feel fantastic. I haven’t trained for the past four days due to a throat and chest infection. I arrived late to camp yesterday and still played. It feels good to score against teams that, years ago, said I was too old and past my prime.”
“Today, we delivered a great performance. This might make people take us more seriously, but we don’t want to place too much pressure on ourselves. Of course, we aim to win every match.”
“It’s satisfying to score against teams that doubted me. I have nothing against the Chiefs; it just feels great to prove them wrong after they said I was too old a few years back,” Grobler said.
A few years ago, there were rumors about Grobler potentially joining Kaizer Chiefs, but the club dismissed the idea, thinking he was past his peak.
Reminder: Former Chiefs defender Teenage Hadebe is set to return to Europe.
