Pep Guardiola has announced that Antoine Semenyo will debut for Manchester City in the FA Cup match against Exeter City tomorrow.

Semenyo joined City from Bournemouth on a five-and-a-half year contract on Friday, with a transfer fee set at £62.5 million.

The Ghanaian forward arrives after a standout season at Bournemouth, and Guardiola confirmed he will be included in the squad. City will face Exeter, a third-tier team, at the Etihad on Saturday.

“He is available for selection. I’m not sure if he will start, but he will definitely be part of the squad,” Guardiola said during his pre-match press conference.

Guardiola encouraged the Manchester City supporters to be patient with Semenyo. Although the player has shown his skills in the Premier League, the coach stressed that there should be no rush for the 26-year-old to perform immediately.

“He is not here for just one, two, or three games; he’s here for many years, so he has plenty of time. I know he is an exceptional talent. The team will support him, and this club has a way of making new players feel comfortable. He will adjust quickly.”
