Guinea’s hopes of qualification remain alive.

Guinea defeated Mozambique 2-1 in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.

Abdoul Camara Traoré stood out by scoring twice, first in the second minute and again in the 59th minute. Mozambique managed to equalize briefly when Reinildo Mandava scored in the 19th minute, giving their fans a glimmer of hope. However, they could not secure a better outcome.

Paulo Duarte’s team still has a chance to qualify, although it remains slim. With these three points, the standings in Group G are still close. Guinea sits in 4th place with 14 points, trailing Mozambique, which holds 3rd place with 15 points.
