Borussia forward returns to Dortmund.
Borussia Dortmund’s top striker Serhou Guirassy has had to leave the Guinea national team camp due to an injury, as reported by Sky Sport.
The 29-year-old has returned to Germany for a medical examination. The club hopes he can recover in time for the important match against Bayern Munich next week.
Guirassy did not play in the recent match against Mozambique, which Guinea won 2-1, as he remained on the bench. He also missed a Bundesliga game against Mainz because of a thigh issue. This ongoing injury seems to have flared up while he was with the national team.
It’s worth mentioning that Guinea is out of the World Cup qualification race, currently sitting fourth in their group. They will face Botswana in their final qualifier on October 14.
