Ilkay Gündogan close to leaving Manchester City
Ilkay Gündogan’s future is once again making headlines. The German midfielder, who left Manchester City in 2023 before making a return last year, could now be on his way out of the club once more.
According to insider Florian Plettenberg, top European clubs have already made approaches for Gündogan. Talks are ongoing, and his next move might be confirmed in the coming days.
Meanwhile, Turkish side Galatasaray came very close to signing Manuel Akanji. The two clubs had reached an agreement worth €15 million, but the deal collapsed after it was revealed that Akanji himself was unaware of the ongoing negotiations.
On the Spanish side, Real Madrid is open to selling winger Rodrygo if the right offer comes in. This has already attracted the attention of Manchester City, who are keeping a close watch on the Brazilian star.
It’s worth noting that while the media continues to connect Madrid with Ballon d’Or winner Rodri, there’s hesitation inside the club. Reports suggest officials have flagged three major concerns before making any big decision.
With the transfer window heating up, the futures of Gündogan, Rodrygo, and Akanji are expected to dominate headlines in the coming days.
