Manchester City striker Erling Haaland has said goodbye to Ederson, who recently transferred to Fenerbahce on deadline day. Haaland posted a touching message on Instagram to mark the occasion.
He shared photos with Ederson, writing: “An absolute legend @ederson93! Thank you for everything, especially the assists 👍🏻 (your emoji, always 😂).”
Ederson joined Manchester City from Benfica in 2017 for €40 million. In his eight years at the club, he played 372 matches in all competitions, conceding 311 goals and achieving 168 clean sheets. During his time with City, he won the Premier League six times and the 2023 Champions League trophy.
Ederson is also recognized for providing the most assists by any goalkeeper in the top five European leagues since the 2015/16 season, with a total of seven assists at Manchester City.
