Monaco denied Manchester City a second consecutive victory in the Champions League, securing a dramatic draw in their latest encounter. The match, held at Stade Louis II on Wednesday night, ended in a 2-2 scoreline, with Monaco leveling the game in the final moments.

The action began in the 15th minute when Erling Haaland received a lofted pass from Josko Gvardiol and got past goalkeeper Philipp Köhn to give City the lead. Monaco responded just three minutes later, as Jordan Teze scored with a powerful long-range shot to make it 1-1. However, City went ahead again before halftime. Haaland scored his second of the night with a header from a Nico O’Reilly cross, taking his career tally to an impressive 52 goals in just 50 Champions League matches.

While City looked set to win, Monaco earned a late opportunity. In the 90th minute, referee Jesús Gil Manzano awarded a penalty after a VAR review for a high boot by Nico González on Eric Dier. Dier calmly converted the spot-kick, sending the ball past goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma to rescue a crucial point for the French team, their first of the tournament.
