Manchester City defeated Bournemouth 3-1 in a Premier League match at their home ground. With this win, City has moved up to the second spot in the league standings. Erling Haaland continued his remarkable form this season by scoring two goals, which were crucial for the victory. His goal tally for the season now stands at 12 goals in 10 matches. The scoring started in the 17th minute when Haaland converted a through ball from Rayan Cherki.
However, Bournemouth equalized in the 25th minute. Tyler Adams scored his first goal for the club from a corner. City took the lead again in the 33rd minute when another pass from Cherki found Haaland, who scored with ease. Bournemouth tried to score again, but the City defence held firm. In the second half, Nico O’Reilly scored from a Phil Foden assist to secure the win for Manchester City. This result is a comeback for City after their loss to Aston Villa. Their next match is against Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League, followed by a game against third-placed Liverpool next week.
