After Barcelona’s 2-1 win against Frankfurt, Lamine Yamal expressed frustration over being substituted. In a press conference, coach Hansi Flick had to address Yamal’s disappointment and explain his decision to take him out of the game.
“He was a bit disappointed, but he had a yellow card and we needed fresh players. It’s not a problem. That’s how it is. I understand him; everyone wants to play, and he thinks he can go for 100 minutes. He’s young. It’s a good attitude. I have no issues with it. I was a player myself. I accept it,” the German coach stated. His message was clear.
