The patience of the coach, Hansi Flick, is running thin. Reports from Catalan media suggest that he is frustrated with his players and is even contemplating leaving the club earlier than expected. This week, ABC reported that he is feeling very disappointed with the attitude of certain players.
Flick is particularly exasperated by the lack of commitment from some players and the special treatment given to others, like Lamine Yamal. He was not pleased that Yamal flew to Milan after the Clasico instead of returning to Barcelona with the team. Additionally, he feels unsupported by the club and is disheartened by the political aspects of his role, as highlighted by AS.
According to El Chiringuito, Flick is also tired of the media’s relentless attempts to destabilize the club. The show even questioned whether he has lost control of the locker room, with 66% of voters responding “yes” in a recent poll. Journalist Alex Silvestre remarked that Flick is not the same as he was last year; something is clearly amiss.
Two players particularly bothering him are Ferran Torres and Lamine Yamal. Their attitudes have been a source of frustration for Flick, contrasting sharply with the discipline he experienced at Bayern Munich. Noted journalist Edu Aguirre suggested: “If I were Laporta, I would ask Hansi Flick if he is tired. If he is, we may need to say goodbye in December.” It seems Barcelona hopes to avoid such a scenario.
