A year ago, Marcus Rashford’s career seemed to be at a low point.

He made a strong debut in the 2015/16 season under Louis van Gaal and became a regular player for Manchester United.

However, his performance dropped during Erik ten Hag’s management, leading Ruben Amorim to consider him expendable.

As a result, he was removed from the first team and loaned to Aston Villa.

After returning to United in the summer, another loan move arose with FC Barcelona showing interest.

He became the first English player at Barcelona since Gary Lineker, joining one of Europe’s top clubs, which nearly reached the Champions League final last season.

Rashford has excelled in Spain, scoring 7 goals and providing 11 assists in 24 matches across all competitions.

Reports suggest that manager Hansi Flick is keen on signing Rashford after his one-year loan ends.

While finances will be a consideration, Flick is happy with Rashford’s contributions, versatility, and professionalism.

Rashford reportedly declined more lucrative offers to join Barcelona and seems to be benefitting from his choice.

With a buy-option of nearly £26 million, that amount and his salary could pose challenges for Barcelona.

The player is open to negotiating his wages to assist the club, which faces salary constraints due to La Liga’s current rules, leading them to sell Lionel Messi.

Given United’s acquisition of over £200 million in new attacking talent this summer and Rashford’s strong display for Barcelona, his future at Old Trafford looks uncertain.
