"Messi had a big influence on me" - Heung-min Son shares his emotions about being in the US
The South Korean midfielder is excited to be in the same league as Lionel Messi.
This is set to be an exciting match.
Details: Heung-min Son, a 33-year-old South Korean winger now playing for Los Angeles, shared his thoughts on the legendary Argentine, Lionel Messi, who is currently with Inter Miami:
“I didn’t come to MLS because of him, but he definitely influenced me; he made the league more popular, and I aspire to be like him. We’re not on the same team, so I’m really excited to watch him play,” Son said.
Son considers Messi one of the greatest players in football history and believes it is a great honor to compete against him.
This summer, Son transferred to Los Angeles for €22 million from Tottenham, where he played for ten years. So far this season, Son has made 9 appearances for Los Angeles, scoring 8 goals and providing 3 assists.
Reminder: Messi achieves 100 goal contributions for Inter Miami.
