Arne Slot has led Liverpool to a five-game unbeaten streak across all competitions.
The pressure was mounting on Slot after Liverpool secured only three wins in a 12-match run earlier this season.
This was Liverpool’s worst performance since the 1953/54 season, prompting a change in approach.
Slot adjusted Liverpool’s formation and initially left Mohamed Salah on the bench, eventually excluding him from the squad for the Inter Milan match.
However, after discussing with Salah before the Brighton match, Slot decided to reintegrate him into the team last Saturday.

Salah assisted Liverpool’s second goal of the match, setting a record for the most goal contributions at a single Premier League club.
His comeback has received attention, with analysts like Micah Richards and Alan Shearer sharing their views on his performance and Slot’s decision to reinstate him.
On The Rest Is Football podcast, Richards praised Slot’s management of the situation while recognizing Salah’s standout performance against Brighton.
He stated, “Slot managed everything well. He didn’t put Salah in a difficult position when he could have.”
Shearer added, “I don’t think he had much choice. He needed to perform well after what he said.”
Gary Lineker Comments on Salah’s Departure from Liverpool
Salah has now departed Liverpool to join the Egyptian national team ahead of the AFCON and may miss several matches depending on the team’s progression in the tournament.
Expected to return in January during the transfer window, Gary Lineker expressed optimism about the situation, mentioning that things seem to have settled regarding Salah’s return to Liverpool.
Lineker noted, “It feels like a minor disagreement, like a couple having a small fight. They’ll get past it and move on, which appears to be the case.”
