Novak Djokovic had a quiet offseason compared to his usual adventures. Instead of traveling to far-off places, he was seen in Qatar attending a Formula One event and also playing padel.
Padel has caught his interest recently; he was spotted playing in Serbia as well. This might hint at his future direction after tennis, but for now, Djokovic is simply enjoying a different type of racket sport.
He also spent time in Greece, where he lives, so that wasn’t unexpected. It remains to be seen if this downtime has helped him recharge for the Australian Open, a tournament he has won ten times.
Felix Auger-Aliassime finished his season strong, achieving a career-high ranking of number five. He took some time off, mostly staying in Monaco and enjoying a relaxed lifestyle as he prepares for the new season.
By “relaxed,” we mean living in a luxurious location full of yachts. Like many of his peers, he’s been practicing to build on his successful end to the year and aims for a breakthrough in his career.
Taylor Fritz, hailing from California, chose to spend his offseason at home, which is an ideal spot to unwind with its pleasant weather and scenery.
He enjoyed himself by attending NBA games and similar activities, which some might say he does during the season too. Overall, he kept it low-key, as being home is a treat for many players who usually travel a lot. Sometimes, the best break is simply being in your own bed.
