Huddersfield Town is currently working towards promotion from League One to the Championship.
The team is in sixth place, having won eleven matches and drawn six, bringing their total to 39 points.
Despite their position, they are ten points behind Lincoln City and 16 points behind Cardiff City, who are at the top of League One.
In their recent performances, the Terriers have only won once in the last five games and three times in their last twelve.
If results do not improve soon, Town risks falling out of the play-off spots, impacting their promotion chances.
In light of this, Huddersfield has made a significant change in their management by letting go of Lee Grant.
According to their official website, Huddersfield Town has dismissed Grant from his role as manager.
Owner and chairman Kevin Nagle commented on the decision, saying: “We began this season with optimism after reshaping our First Team over the summer. We were clear about our ambitions and how we wanted to achieve them.”
“Unfortunately, given the current performance, those goals are not being met. With almost half of the season left, we feel it’s necessary to make this change to get the team back on track.”
Nagle added, “I would like to thank Lee for his efforts and wish him the best in his future endeavors.”
Grant took on the position last summer, having previously been with Ipswich Town, where he contributed to their successful back-to-back promotions from League One to the Premier League.
Now, Huddersfield supporters will be looking to Nagle for the next steps in finding a replacement for Lee Grant.
