Huracán will face Vélez this Friday at the Tomás Adolfo Ducó Stadium, aiming to secure a much-needed win, as reported by Olé. The match starts at 7 p.m. and is part of the eighth round of the Clausura, with Huracán in need of points to stay in the race for international cup spots.

Coach Frank Darío Kudelka’s team is recovering from a tough period. The recent goalless draw with San Lorenzo was disappointing, and the elimination from the Copa Sudamericana by Once Caldas still lingers. However, they’ve managed to remain unbeaten in five matches in the Clausura and are looking for a victory. Huracán will be without Luciano Giménez, who is suspended due to a red card in the derby, but Fabio Pereyra and Leonardo Sequeira will return, with Sequeira back from an ankle injury.

Vélez comes into the match with confidence. The team recently won the Argentine Super Cup against Central Córdoba and has won five straight matches across all competitions. While morale is high, attention is starting to turn to the Copa Libertadores quarterfinals against Racing. Head coach Guillermo Barros Schelotto is expected to make several changes, as forward Braian Romero will not play due to a muscle issue. Only goalkeeper Tomás Marchiori and defender Aaron Quirós are likely to keep their positions.

Chilean midfielder Diego Valdés will also be back on the squad after recovering from a calf strain and is expected to add minutes from the bench. With Huracán looking to rise in the standings and Vélez balancing league and continental aims, this match in Parque Patricios is set to be competitive and strategically engaging.
