The Indian Super League (ISL) 2025-26 season is now scheduled to begin in December. This agreement follows discussions between the All India Football Federation (AIFF) and Football Sports Development Limited (FSDL), overseen by the Supreme Court. The Super Cup is also planned to be held earlier, in September.
Legal issues and contract negotiation hurdles had created uncertainty around the ISL’s future. This new decision provides clarity for both supporters and players.
As part of the main agreement, FSDL will also release the final installment of ₹12.5 crore to AIFF. These mutually agreed terms will be submitted to the Supreme Court. Approval by the court would resolve existing concerns surrounding Indian football.
