Casemiro is set to leave Manchester United, igniting a transfer race in the U.S.

The 34-year-old midfielder has announced his exit from Old Trafford as a free agent this June.

As reported by The Athletic, both Inter Miami and the LA Galaxy are looking to sign the veteran. This opens up two exciting possibilities for him.

The Brazilian could team up with his former rival, Lionel Messi, or follow in the footsteps of stars like David Beckham to Los Angeles.

With Inter Miami’s Sergio Busquets recently retiring, the team urgently needs a strong defensive player to support Messi and Luis Suárez.

Casemiro linked with a possible MLS move this summer

After years competing against Messi in El Clasico, they might soon join forces in Miami.

Currently, Miami is third in the Eastern Conference after five matches, and they aim to build on their recent MLS Cup triumph.

The LA Galaxy also presents a strong option for the five-time Champions League winner.

They are enjoying a good season and have recently advanced to the CONCACAF Champions Cup quarter-finals.

Reports suggest the Galaxy are considering restructuring João Klauss’s contract to create space for Casemiro.

Joining the Galaxy would pair Casemiro with another prominent European player, Marco Reus, in a talented midfield.

Despite significant interest from MLS, a move to the U.S. is still uncertain. According to ESPN, Saudi club Al Ittihad is also pursuing him, but their plans depend on former Liverpool player Fabinho’s situation.

Casemiro is having a solid final season in Manchester, scoring seven goals in 29 appearances under manager Michael Carrick.

He remains confident in his ability to compete in Europe, but the appeal of a project in MLS, particularly a partnership with Messi, is hard to resist.
