Lionel Messi-led Inter Miami will lock horns with D.C. United in an exciting MLS 2025 clash at Audi Field, Washington. However, fans hoping to see Messi in action will be disappointed this time.
Inter Miami manager Javier Mascherano confirmed that Messi will not be traveling for the away game. Speaking to beIN Sports, Mascherano said, “Leo will not be traveling. The idea is to take care of him because of the wear and tear of the trip and because the important thing is coming up on Wednesday.”
The 38-year-old, who has already missed a few games this season due to injury concerns, has been handed a much-needed rest ahead of the crucial Leagues Cup semifinal. Veteran defender Jordi Alba has also been left out of the squad for the same reason.
Unfortunately, the MLS 2025 clash will not be available on any TV channel in India. However, fans can watch the match live on Apple TV with an MLS Season Pass. The streaming will be available across devices starting 5:00 AM IST on Sunday.
