Lionel Messi’s Inter have started the league with a bang, after two consecutive friendly matches without a win, they were able to shake off that bad statistic at the start of the MLS. They already occupy, momentarily, the first place in the Eastern Conference with four points.

In this way, Martino’s men come into this match after a 1-1 draw against LA Galaxy, in the last round of the American league.

Inter’s goal came at a crucial moment and with the game at an end: Jordi Alba’s assist for Lionel Messi’s goal at 45’+2′ of the second half, a move taken from the Barcelona manuals, passes between the two and a goal for the world champion.

Meanwhile, Los Leones are in a great footballing form, undefeated so far in 2024: six wins and two draws (in all competitions and friendly matches). In the Eastern Conference table, they are in 11th place with one unit.

Pareja’s side eliminated Canadian side Cavalry 6-1 on aggregate (3-0 first leg, 3-0 second leg) in the first round of the CONCACAF Champions Cup. In addition, in the previous MLS matchday, they drew 0-0 against CF Montreal.
