Inter Milan president Giuseppe Marotta has denied claims that Arsenal has reached out regarding Pio Esposito.
Esposito, a 20-year-old forward, has had a strong season in Serie A, scoring seven goals in 37 matches. He has also made an impact on the national team, netting three goals in five appearances for Italy.
Previously, Esposito was named Serie B’s Footballer of the Year for 2024-25 during his successful loan at Spezia, drawing attention from various clubs.
Arsenal is said to be considering signing Esposito to enhance their attacking options alongside Viktor Gyokeres.
However, Marotta has made it clear that Inter has not received any inquiry about the player and has no intention of selling him.
“Arsenal did not ask for Pio Esposito despite reports,” he stated. “We are not looking to sell key players, as player trading is not our focus. We view Pio Esposito as a vital asset for our future. While anything is possible, that is a long-term consideration.”
