Mamelodi Sundowns is considering taking their issue to FIFA, filing a complaint against clubs that may have urged Lucas Ribeiro to end his contract early. In a letter, Ribeiro indicated his intention to leave, mentioning that his prospective new club wouldn’t take responsibility for the disagreement with Mamelodi.

This has led to speculation about possible international involvement affecting one of the top players from last season in the South African Premiership. Such interference is considered a serious offense and may result in penalties, including a transfer ban.
