As the FIFA U-20 World Cup 2025 approaches its conclusion, excitement builds for the final and the bronze medal match.

Traditionally, the third-place match has given young players a chance to showcase their skills one last time, allowing them to leave the tournament with something to show for their efforts. However, its significance in modern tournaments is changing.

This year, there is renewed interest in the format and how FIFA plans to conclude its youth tournament. Beyond the medals, it’s about development, legacy, and memorable stories that persist long after the final whistle.

Colombia vs. France in FIFA U-20 World Cup

Colombia, after a close 1-0 loss to hosts Argentina, aims to achieve their second third-place finish in this tournament, repeating their best result from 2003. Their strong defensive tactics will face a significant challenge from a powerful French team.

On the other hand, France lost their final spot in a dramatic penalty shootout against debut finalists Morocco following a 1-1 tie. The 2013 champions seek to end their tournament run with a win, aiming for their third medal in U-20 World Cup history.
