Manchester United has made a significant decision regarding Jadon Sancho.
Sancho is set to become a free agent shortly.
Details: Fabrizio Romano recently reported that the Manchester United board will not activate the contract extension option for 26-year-old winger Jadon Sancho.
Sancho’s current contract with the Red Devils runs until the end of this season. Although there is an option to extend his deal for another year, the club has opted not to take that route.
This confirms that Sancho will officially become a free agent in just two months.
This choice by Manchester United is surprising, especially considering they signed Sancho for €100 million from Borussia Dortmund in 2021. Now, there are rumors that he might return to Dortmund this summer.
Currently, Sancho is on loan at Aston Villa for this season.
Reminder: Joshua Zirkzee is also weighing options between two top German clubs.
