Joan Laporta Plans a Special Celebration for Leo Messi

Leo Messi left FC Barcelona over four years ago, and it’s unlikely he will return as a professional player at his formative club. His departure left a mark, as he never received a tribute, despite being the greatest player in the club’s history. Joan Laporta aims to rectify this by organizing a match at the newly renovated Camp Nou.

“In front of 105,000 spectators, I would love to see the stadium packed. It would be a beautiful way to inaugurate it, a farewell match for Leo. Everything depends on his willingness. It won’t happen before late 2026, and I don’t know who the president will be, but if it’s me, I would be thrilled,” stated the Barça president, who is eagerly anticipating returning to the historic stadium.
