Former Chelsea captain John Terry stated that his feelings of dislike for London rivals Tottenham Hotspur have not faded.
Terry played 717 times for Chelsea and led the team to five Premier League titles during his successful tenure.
Having risen through the academy ranks, he was deeply familiar with the club’s rivalries.
In a conversation with Petr Cech for Flashscore, Terry expressed that his disdain for Tottenham remains strong, even nearly ten years after leaving Stamford Bridge.
“I hate Spurs. Honestly, it’s really clear,” he said.
“Being at the club for so long, from when I first joined in 2014, I remember being a ball boy at 14 or 15, standing near the Spurs fans who were hurling abuse at me. I was just a kid. It really impacted me and stayed with me. I’m also proud that during my time, we never lost a home game to Spurs, and that record still stands.”
