Johnson comments on Chiefs management
Former Kaizer Chiefs coach Cavin Johnson has reflected on his time with the club.
The Johannesburg-born coach took over in October 2023 and served until May 2024, leading the team through 22 matches, resulting in six wins, seven draws, and nine losses.
When asked about the type of coach needed to replace Nasreddine Nabi, Johnson said, “They’ve signed a lot of players and developed some youngsters… I can’t specify what type of coach they need now,” he told FARPost.

“They let me go, so if you ask me, I’d say hire Cavin Johnson again,” he joked.
He also raised questions about whether he was given enough time and treated well during his tenure.
Meanwhile, Kaizer Chiefs are reportedly planning to finish the season under the guidance of interim coaches Cedric Kaze and Khalil Ben Youssef.
