Reliability! Jordan Pickford becomes the first goalkeeper in England history to keep eight consecutive clean sheets
A major milestone for the 31-year-old goalkeeper.
Recently, Pickford broke a long-standing record held by Gordon Banks.
Details: After England’s strong 3-0 win against Wales, Jordan Pickford became the first England goalkeeper to achieve eight consecutive clean sheets.
This streak includes matches against Greece, Ireland, Albania, Latvia, Andorra (twice), Serbia, and Wales.
With this achievement, Pickford surpassed Gordon Banks, who had the previous record of seven straight clean sheets set in 1966.
Since debuting for the England national team in 2017, Pickford has made 79 appearances, conceded 59 goals, and secured 43 clean sheets.
Reminder: Historic achievement! For the first time in 37 years, England scored three goals in 20 minutes.
