Jorgen Strand Larsen Set to Join Newcastle with New Offer on the Horizon

Footem.inJorgen Strand Larsen is reportedly set to join Newcastle United, as the club prepares a significant new offer to sign the Wolves star.

Newcastle Makes a Bigger Offer

The English club, Newcastle United, continues to pursue Strand Larsen’s signature, despite having two previous bids of Rp1 trillion and Rp1.1 trillion being rejected by Wolves.

Now, the team known as The Magpies is ready to submit a third offer valued at around Rp1.2 trillion, including additional bonuses.

Coach Eddie Howe is in urgent need of a new striker to address problems in the front line due to the Alexander Isak saga.

The situation becomes more pressing as Callum Wilson has left for West Ham on a free transfer, while talks with Brentford for Yoane Wissa have stalled.

Strand Larsen’s Interest in Newcastle

Sources close to the player indicate that Strand Larsen is very eager to move to St James’ Park, especially due to the chance to play in the Champions League, which is a major attraction.

The Norwegian striker had an impressive 2024/25 season, netting 14 goals in the Premier League, making him an ideal fit for Newcastle’s aggressive playing style.

However, Wolves are adamant about retaining the player. They recently acquired Strand Larsen from Celta Vigo for Rp462 billion (£23 million) this summer after a successful loan period.

With time running out to find a replacement, Wolves insist that the 25-year-old striker is virtually irreplaceable.

Urgent Situation at Newcastle

The forward crisis at Newcastle has intensified, especially with Isak refusing to play while pressing for a transfer to Liverpool, despite a Rp2.2 trillion offer from The Reds being turned down.

This situation leaves Howe short on striker options, pushing Newcastle to finalize the transfer of Strand Larsen quickly.

Interestingly, Strand Larsen again showcased his skills by scoring two important goals as a substitute in Wolves’ 3-2 victory over West Ham in the Carabao Cup, further underscoring his value to Vitor Pereira’s squad.

A crucial week lies ahead for Newcastle, where the outcome of these negotiations is expected to significantly influence their season in the Premier League.
