After scoring four goals against Olympiakos, Kylian Mbappé addressed reporters on Wednesday night. He showed annoyance when asked a question he found inappropriate. “That’s a bad question,” he responded to journalist Miguel Angel Toribio, who inquired about the team’s dependence on Mbappé.
On his show on Radio Marca, Toribio sought to clarify his remarks and did not want to escalate the situation. In fact, he defended the French player, saying, “I understand Mbappé and what he wanted to express. He did not intend to take credit away from his teammates. He stood up for his partners, and it showed leadership. I appreciated that even though my question didn’t sit well with him, he responded respectfully and looked me in the eye. Someone else might have used the moment to dismiss me. Mbappé’s response was a 10/10 in terms of education. He just didn’t like that my question suggested I was devaluing his teammates.”
