Julian Nagelsmann is open to the Manchester United job if approached after this summer’s World Cup.
The Germany coach is among those being considered as United evaluates potential permanent replacements for Ruben Amorim.
At just 38, Nagelsmann has extensive experience, having managed Hoffenheim, RB Leipzig, Bayern Munich, and the Germany national team.
He won the Bundesliga with Bayern in the 2021-22 season and will aim for World Cup success this summer. His contract with Germany ends after the tournament, at which point he may look to return to club football.
Journalist Graeme Bailey reports that Nagelsmann has shown interest in the Old Trafford position and is ‘firmly in the frame.’
Currently, Michael Carrick is serving as caretaker manager and has made a strong case for himself, winning six out of seven Premier League matches, with one draw, which has lifted the team into Champions League contention.
INEOS is reportedly ‘not yet ready’ to offer Carrick the permanent role as the club conducts due diligence on various managerial candidates.
