Paris Saint-Germain and Kylian Mbappé are still entangled in a legal dispute, with the player seeking €5 million in unpaid wages from his former club. However, PSG has recently secured a minor victory over the Real Madrid star, as reported by RMC Sport. Mbappé’s camp had appealed following a court ruling that annulled the seizure of the €5 million from the club’s accounts, which was initially implemented last May. On December 9, the Paris Court of Appeals rejected Mbappé’s appeal.
Additionally, the court ordered the French captain to “cover the legal fees and pay €3,000 to PSG for procedural abuse,” as stated by RMC Sport. “For the second time, the courts have confirmed that Mr. Mbappé’s claims regarding the seizing of the club’s accounts in April lack foundation. Ultimately, this entire dispute is fundamentally about good faith, maintaining values, and honoring commitments. Paris Saint-Germain will continue to robustly defend its rights,” said Renaud Semerdjian, PSG’s lawyer, to the media.
