Juventus has contacted Liverpool about bringing back Federico Chiesa this month.
The Italian club is looking to recruit a winger during the January transfer window, and Chiesa appears to be a suitable candidate. He has had difficulty securing a consistent spot since transferring to Liverpool for £10 million in 2024.
In his 18 months at Anfield, the 28-year-old has started only two Premier League matches. Juventus is ready to provide the winger, who has not been regularly featured, with a chance to leave, as reported by Fabrizio Romano.
Juventus has reached out to Liverpool to discuss the terms of a possible transfer. Chiesa is reportedly interested in returning to Serie A, seeking more regular playing time after a challenging stint in England.
However, Liverpool might be hesitant to let him go without finding a suitable replacement. Mohamed Salah will be absent for the Africa Cup of Nations, and Alexander Isak is injured, leaving the Reds with fewer options upfront. Hugo Ekitike also missed Sunday’s match against Fulham due to a hamstring injury.
