Juventus were strong at home before getting crushed by Atalanta. Prior to that defeat, they had beaten AC Milan, Empoli, Inter and Verona. Home advantage could prove to be an important factor for Tudor on his debut.
In the first meeting of the season, Juventus won 3-0 at Genoa’s home ground. Dusan Vlahovic scored twice, including a penalty, while Francisco Conceicao added a goal. At the time, Juventus were coached by Motta, while Genoa were managed by Alberto Gilardino.
Juventus also have an impressive record when hosting Genoa. They are unbeaten in their last 24 meetings in Turin in all competitions. Of those, Juventus have won 19 times, with the other five games ending in draws.
