Kannur Warriors FC has signed Argentine player Nicolás Delmonte to strengthen its defense. Delmonte is an experienced centre-back from Argentina. Born in Oliva, Argentina, he has played professionally in South America, Europe, and Asia. The 1.80-meter-tall player is versatile and can also play as a left-back and a defensive midfielder.
Delmonte started his career at the Argentine club Independiente, where he won the Copa Sudamericana in 2010. He has played for several clubs worldwide, including Dinamo Tirana (Albania), Johor Darul Ta’zim (Malaysia), Bashundhara Kings (Bangladesh), and Città di Fasano (Italy). He also played for Spanish clubs Marbella, Extremadura, Sabadell, Zamora, Melilla, and Linense. Last season, he played for the Spanish club Juventud Torremolinos, showing his skills with strong performances.
During his time at Independiente, Delmonte played alongside Argentine football great Gabriel Milito. He has also competed in friendly matches against top teams like Sevilla and Inter Milan, facing players such as Jesús Navas, Éver Banega, and Mauro Icardi.
Throughout his career, Delmonte has played a key role in league promotions and cup wins for various teams. He has also won domestic titles in Albania and Bangladesh.
