Kannur: As part of their preparations for the Super League Kerala, Kannur Warriors won their first friendly match. The team defeated SNGC College Pattambi by a score of 4-0. The goals for Kannur Warriors were scored by Ebin Das, Asier Gomes, Muhammed Sinan, and Arjun.
The first goal came in the 35th minute from Ebin Das. Striker Abdu Karim Samba took advantage of an error by a defender from SNGC College and passed the ball into the box. Ebin Das ran past the defenders and calmly put the ball past the goalkeeper to score.
Three more goals were scored in the second half. In the 49th minute, Gokul made a run down the left wing and delivered a cross into the box. Spanish player Asier Gomes, positioned inside the box, received the ball and scored into the far post. Later, in the 74th minute, Muhammed Sinan added to the scoreline. He neatly tapped in a cross provided by Sandeep from the left wing. The final goal came in the 89th minute when Arjun converted another cross from Sandeep, who again assisted from the left wing.
