Kannur: The official jersey launch and team announcement for Kannur Warriors Football Club, ahead of the second season of Super League Kerala, will be held on Sunday, September 28. The event is scheduled to take place at Payyambalam Beach at 5:00 PM. Film actor Asif Ali, who is the club’s celebrity partner, will be the chief guest. Noted football commentator Shaiju Damodaran and all the directors of the club will also attend the ceremony.
Activities at the beach will begin at 3:00 PM with a variety of games. Competitions including a penalty shootout, ball juggling, and a bottle flip challenge will be held, with prizes for the winners. A musical performance by ‘Patholi’ is scheduled for 5:00 PM. After the main event of the jersey launch and team unveiling, another music program by Rish NK will take place. Entry to the event will be free for all.
The Super League matches are slated to start in October. This season, Kannur Warriors will play their home matches at the Kannur Municipal Jawahar Stadium, marking the first time the team has secured its own home ground. The team has been undergoing training at the Kannur Police Parade Ground since September 1.
