Kobbie Mainoo’s future at Manchester United is uncertain, with calls for him to leave Old Trafford growing.

The midfielder, previously a regular starter for United and the England team, has seen his playing time reduce to brief appearances from the bench, and he has been omitted from Thomas Tuchel’s squad.

However, former United players like Paul Scholes, Nicky Butt, and Gary Neville believe that a loan would benefit Mainoo at this stage in his career.

According to The Sun, despite his reduced role since Amorim’s arrival, Mainoo is determined to prove himself at Manchester United.

Sources close to him suggest that despite the issues with Amorim, he remains committed to his goal at Old Trafford.

Currently dealing with a calf injury, Mainoo aims to demonstrate his value to the team, with an expectation that he may recover sooner than Bruno Fernandes.

This presents an opportunity for the 20-year-old to fill the gap left by the captain’s absence.

Outside of injury concerns, Mainoo is also facing challenges related to his brother, who recently stirred controversy.

During United’s 4-4 draw with Bournemouth, Mainoo’s brother wore a t-shirt reading “Free Kobbie Mainoo,” reflecting frustration over the club’s refusal to let him go.
