Kylian Mbappé Aims to Make History with Every Goal He Scores

Kylian Mbappé scored twice in France’s 4-0 victory over Ukraine, securing their qualification for the 2026 World Cup. This achievement brought his career total to 400 goals. Speaking on Téléfoot on TF1, the Real Madrid forward expressed his desire to continue scoring to close in on the monumental records set by Lionel Messi (896 goals) and Cristiano Ronaldo (953 goals), regardless of how those goals come.

“That was the longest goal I’ve ever scored in my career. I’ve never shot from that far (laughs). I took a chance because the goalkeeper was off his line. As a striker, whether it’s a tap-in or a goal from fifty meters, it all counts the same! It’s great to have those numbers, but there are players, especially two, who have shown that 400 means little when they’ve scored 900 or 890. I need to score a lot more for it to have value in people’s eyes,” he said. At 26 years old, will Kylian Mbappé have enough time to catch up to these two legends?
