In an interview on Universo Valdano, Kylian Mbappe discussed the importance of playing alongside Lionel Messi at Paris Saint-Germain. He highlighted the significant influence the Argentine superstar had on him.
“He surprised me with his humility in the locker room. He respected everyone and as a player, he’s extraordinary,” said Mbappe. “Being close to him allowed me to learn how he controls the ball, finishes, and views the game. It deepened my understanding of the sport.”
Mbappe expressed that having two seasons with Messi was an unexpected privilege. “I feel lucky to have played with Leo Messi. He treats everyone with respect,” he mentioned. “I never imagined I’d play with him as my dream was always to play for Real Madrid. Barcelona was never on my mind.”
