Athletic Bilbao, who are eighth in the standings, created some opportunities through Gorka Guruzeta and Nico Williams, but they could not get the ball past Real Madrid’s goalkeeper, Thibaut Courtois.
In the 42nd minute, just before the first half ended, Real Madrid extended their lead. Eduardo Camavinga headed a precise corner kick from Mbappé into the net. This was also his first goal of the season.
Mbappé scored his second goal of the match in the 59th minute, securing the win for his team. After receiving an assist from Álvaro Carreras, Mbappé maneuvered past the goalkeeper and curled the ball into the goal, establishing a 3-0 lead.
