LA Galaxy has rejected a transfer offer from French club Olympique Lyonnais for Gabriel Pec, as reported by ge. Lyon’s bid was around $16 million, but the MLS team chose not to sell the 24-year-old forward. The French transfer window closed on September 1.

Pec has emerged as a key player for Galaxy since joining in early 2024. He has scored 30 goals and provided 21 assists in 75 matches across all competitions. This season, he has featured in 34 games—starting 33—scoring nine goals and offering two assists.

The proposal from Lyon follows a previous bid from Qatar that was also turned down, which was worth €20 million. Both offers were put forward by agent Carlos Leite, who looks after Pec’s career.

Galaxy secured 70 percent of Pec’s economic rights in January 2024 for $10 million, while his childhood club, Vasco da Gama, holds the remaining 30 percent. Future transfers could thus provide financial benefits to the Brazilian club.
