Former New York City FC midfielder Justin Haak has joined the LA Galaxy in free agency.
The 24-year-old, originally from Brooklyn, scored one goal and provided four assists in 34 MLS matches during the 2025 season.
Haak’s contract with the Galaxy runs until 2026, with an option to extend through June 2027.
“We are thrilled to welcome Justin to the LA Galaxy,” said general manager Will Kuntz. “Justin can play in various positions and will add value in multiple roles. His journey from being a homegrown academy player to a regular starter shows his dedication, skills, and defensive capabilities.”

Haak made his MLS debut with NYCFC in 2019 and has since scored two goals and provided four assists in 81 league appearances. During his time with the club, he was part of the team that won the 2021 MLS Cup and the 2022 Campeones Cup.
