Los Angeles created the best scoring opportunities, particularly in the final minutes. In the 85th minute, Mark Delgado struck a shot from outside the box that hit the crossbar, while Son Heung-Min was denied a shot by Austin defender Brendan Hines-Ike moments later.

In stoppage time, LAFC’s Denis Bouanga forced Stuver into his only save with a powerful shot. Austin’s Myrto Uzuni had the last shot of the match in the second half’s stoppage time, testing Lloris with a high shot that he expertly deflected. Lloris has now saved all 16 shots he has faced this season.

LAFC played their third game in eight days and struggled in the first half, failing to produce a shot on target while Austin held 58% possession and out-passed LAFC 368 to 168. Austin did not register a shot on goal in a lackluster first half.
