LAFC has signed Brazilian midfielder Jailson for the rest of the 2025 season, with options for 2026 and 2027. The agreement is subject to his P-1 Visa and International Transfer Certificate.
“We are happy to welcome Jailson to LAFC,” said Co-President and General Manager John Thorrington. “He brings quality, versatility, and experience, matching our team culture. We believe he will have an immediate impact.”
Jailson, 29, comes from La Liga club Celta Vigo, where he played 27 matches in the 2024-25 season. Before that, he spent two years at Palmeiras in Brazil’s Série A, with 46 appearances across all competitions. His career also includes time with Dalian Pro in China, Fenerbahçe in Turkey, where he played 63 times, including eight matches in the Europa League, and Grêmio, where he made 113 appearances after starting with Chapecoense in 2015.
Standing at 6’2”, Jailson hails from Caçapava do Sul, Brazil, and is expected to add depth and leadership to the midfield as LAFC prepares for the crucial phase of the season.
