LaLiga standings after Barcelona beat Osasuna

Barcelona are sitting comfortably at the top of the La Liga table this season after beating Osasuna 3-0 earlier today. They are now three points clear of arch-rivals Real Madrid.

The postponed match at the Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys on Friday (28/03/20) was due to be played on 8 March, but was rescheduled following the death of Barcelona team doctor Carles Minarro Garcia. However, the hosts still managed to win.

Goals from Ferran Torres in the 11th minute, Dani Olmo’s 21st-minute penalty and Robert Lewandowski’s 77th-minute header gave Barcelona all three points and moved them to the top of the standings with 63 points from 28 games.

Villarreal, who have a game in hand, are fifth on 44 points, followed by Real Betis on the same number of points but on goal difference. Mallorca are seventh on 40 points.

Celta Vigo are eighth on 39 points, followed by Rayo Vallecano in ninth on 37. Sevilla complete the top 10 with 36 points.

The bottom three teams in the relegation zone are Leganes (27 points), Las Palmas (25) and Real Valladolid (16). Alaves (27), Valencia (28) and Espanyol (28) are also far from safe.
