Lamine Yamal Misplaces Passport During Turkey Trip

Spain’s national team achieved a strong 6–0 victory over Turkey in the World Cup qualifier, but an unusual event happened after the match.

Details: Spanish winger and team leader Lamine Yamal lost his passport. He searched for it extensively after the game, even going back to the dressing room, but was unable to find it. Yamal eventually left the stadium without his passport.

Midfielder Mikel Merino also made headlines, scoring six goals in six matches for Spain in 2025. He is now the second midfielder in Spanish history to score a hat-trick in a single game.
