Latest Injury Updates for Liverpool and Key News on Isak

Liverpool manager Arne Slot offered updates on injuries in his team, including news about striker Alexander Isak, ahead of the match against Nottingham Forest this weekend.

The Reds will play at the City Ground on Sunday against Nottingham Forest, who will be playing their first Premier League game under new manager Vitor Pereira, following the departure of Sean Dyche.

Liverpool has several injury concerns but will see at least one player return.

Isak is in the “final stages” of recovery, having started running on the training pitch for the first time since breaking his leg in December. While he has yet to train with a football, Slot anticipates he could be ready by April.

“You do know you’re in your final stages of rehab,” Slot said. “The next step is working with the ball and then joining the group, though it will take time before he’s match-ready.

“It’s encouraging that rehabilitation is going well; credit to him and our medical staff. There’s no set timeline, but it’s clear he should be available this season if recovery continues as expected.”

“It will be around the end of March or early April when he hopefully rejoins the group. However, being with the group doesn’t mean he’s ready to play, especially since he’s been out for months, and it took time for him to return to form after his last long absence.”
