Sarri believes Insigne’s experience and creativity would greatly benefit the squad this season. The two have already communicated multiple times by phone.

A potential challenge for this transfer is Lazio’s sporting director Angelo Fabiani, who wants the club to prioritize the development of young talent.

Lorenzo Insigne is currently a free agent after his departure from Toronto this summer.

Most of Insigne’s career was spent at Napoli, where he made 434 appearances and scored 122 goals with 95 assists.

Reminder: “I was blatantly deceived!” – Maurizio Sarri on his return to Lazio
